【摘要】:Thispracticecoversmaterialsdescription,dosimeterpreparation,instrumentation,andproceduresforusingthealanine-EPRdosimetrysystemformeasuringtheabsorbeddoseinmaterialsirradiatedwithphotonsandelectrons.Thesystemisbasedonelectronparamagneticresonance(EPR)spectroscopyoftheaminoacidalanine.Itisclassifiedasareferencestandarddosimetrysystem(seeGuideE1261).Thispracticecoversalanine-EPRdosimetrysystemsfordosemeasurementsunderthefollowingconditions:Theabsorbeddoserangeisbetween1and10Gy.Theabsorbeddoserateisupto10Gys-1forcontinuousradiationfieldsandupto10Gys-1forpulsedradiationfields(1,2).Theradiationenergyrangeforphotonsisbetween0.1and50MeVandforelectronsisbetween0.3and50MeV(1,2).Theirradiationtemperatureisbetween-60and+90?C(2,3).ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
